PUNTING IN CAMBRIDGE
This is a long overdue post, but I am trying to get back into the blogging swing of things now that I have time to write!
Back in June I went punting with my boyfriend in Cambridge. I had never been to Cambridge before, let alone punting so it was lovely to explore the city. We were so lucky with the weather; a scorching hot day made me actually want to swim in the river to cool down.
A little bit pricey, but 2 hours on the river on a beautiful day was so peaceful and a great way to take in Cambridge in a day. We didn't go through the centre of Cambridge and opted for the less touristry route as it is much quieter.
I eventually got the hang of it, but it did take a few tries after warily standing on the back of the boat and trying not to fall in or get the punt stuck in the river bed. Shoutout to my boyfriend who actually did fall in and I nearly wet myself from laughing- he was not impressed understandably and had to drive back in soggy clothes!
Summer is the perfect time to go punt, if you are ever in the area I would highly recommend to take in the essence of Cambridge. I am still yet to explore the city some more!
